| Post subject: | English Response to the Sardinian Diplomatic Offer |
The Admiralty does not feel the need to use Sardinian Naval bases due to our control of the Island of Malta. If Sardinia had naval stations in the Eastern Mediterranean or the Indian Ocean, they may have accepted the Sardinian offer. As for taking over piracy suppression... maybe someday when the Sardinian Navy has grown beyond more than just a coastal defense force. The King of the United Kingdom wishes to thank the King of Sardinia for his generous contribution for the construction the Royal College of Engineers. But the Admiralty sees no reason to agree to a Refueling Treaty. So the King will take the advice of the Admiralty and deny the new treay. Although, he does not refuse continued negoiations and expects continued talks.
